How to Refine Health Goals

As you reflect on the past year during your annual checkup, consider using what you've learned to set meaningful health goals for the year ahead. The most successful goals are not necessarily the biggest. They are the ones that align with your values, fit your lifestyle, and can be maintained over time. Use the Activity Guide at the bottom of the page to Reflect & Refine health goals:

Reflect on Your Current Health:

  • What's going well?

  • What habits have I successfully maintained?

  • What area of my health could benefit from more attention?

Take an inventory to evaluate where you currently are, what’s working well, and where you can pivot to continue growth. Once you have identified an area of attention, we can start to revise our health plan to incorporate what we want to improve. Remember this simple goal framework as you redefine your goals through the lens of values and desired outcomes!

Value: Better health

Outcome: Improved energy, fitness, and well-being over time

Goal: Walk for 10 minutes after lunch three days per week for 3-months
